Very entertaining watching five 17 year olds unpack a tent. Well, try to. How it went? They decided to let it stand and bring the other tent, still in a bag. đ
Is there a library for all microcasts published on Micro.blog? đ
It will be hot today too.
Thereâll be only one photo in this post. I have been too busy to think of photography. The twins have a friend over for the weekend and her dad (very nice guy) stayed for lunch. I made potatoes with matjessill and grĂ€ddfil. Summer food! After that I did the dishes, packed a picnic and took all kids down to the lake. We stayed until we had to get back for dinner. The water is 25-26 degrees (Celsius that is). Thatâs unusual.

The teenage gang in the barn slept to 3 pm. I met them this morning just before they were going to bed. It was 9 am. They had stayed up all night. Tomorrow is Saturday. The day before my wifeâs birthday. I have some stuff to do.

Review in short: Fantastic. Mysticism meets hardcore reality.
The sun sets in the area of Julita, Sweden. Itâs been đ„” hot today. Thanks goshness we have the lake nearby.

I liked this a lot. It’s a story where mysticism meats real post-brexit UK. Intriguing.

Rekommenderas varmt.
Did a 3,5 km run in blazing sun. Now: water and shadow. Later: breakfast. đđŒââïž
The guests keep coming there our cottage. My mother in law has been with us for a couple of days and today five of the oldest sonâs friends came here.
Gunsan.
Theyâre staying in the barn (thereâs a nice loft) for the rest of the week. Itâs a tradition. Theyâve been having a get together aka summer camp here for the last four years. Itâs fun they want to come.
Our summer crew.
They sleep half the day, spend the rest of the day down by the lake and thereafter they stay up all night watching horror movies. Weâll see how the week turns out this year. Theyâre nice kids, but nice kids sometimes do stupid things. So far so good.
After pizza dinner for eleven people the daughter wanted to go for a bicycle ride. I made her company. It was a beautiful summer evening. Warm. Light. I love the fields here.
Me and my daughter on a bike ride.
The fields!
The weather forecast says the heat will continue.
This makes me feel happy. The twins cooperate.
/// Nu frukost.
The kids love the SUP board. Tomorrow weâll go for it again.
This just might be the best time of the day. After a short morning run in the sun đ đđŒââïž.
I went to the store and bought the goddamn SUP board. But it was worth every penny. My daughter just loved it, my wife and me as well. Our son will give it a go tomorrow, he’s not as keen on the physical stuff as his sister. Down at the beach I met an old friend, Martin, and his lovely wife Liza and their three kids. We had a little chat before they had to go home. The sun was blazing in the evening. What a summer it is this year.

When writing this Italy has won the European Championship in football. I can’t refuse to feel sad for England and their young players who missed their penalty shots. But big congratulations to Italy!

Tomorrow is a day without other plans than hanging out down by the lake, maybe I’ll go for a run in the morning, maybe I wonât. The headache is back.
I think Iâll have to get to a store an hour drive away from here to buy a stand up paddle board. Thatâs the big thing here in Sweden this summer. My wife ordered one but it never shows up and if it does weâll have up return it. Itâs no point with having a such a summer item delivered when we all leave this place for schools and work again. So, I think I have to fix this. Iâm not very keen on doing it but I know thereâll be no peace of mind until itâs done. Iâm not that interested in the SUP thing but I know the kids are. And if, when, we finally have one I know Iâll use it and say âitâs quite fun actuallyâ. You see where Iâm going? Iâm trying to negotiate this with myself. I donât feel like spending the day (a lovely sunny day) in a car driving to a ugly looking mall centre in another town to buy this rather expensive thing I never asked for. But Iâm the dad. And my wifeâs the mother. And if we like buying any kinds of things for our children itâs the kinds of things that make them wanna play outside. A SUP board is that kind of thing. Wish me luck.
Friends.
Doing laundry at my parents house in the city of Katrineholm, the small city where I went to high school. Not my favourite place. My parents are nice though.
My gosh I made a delicious sandwich. KnÀckebröd with butter, sliced cold potato, sliced cold egg, kaviar and chive on top.
Felt a bit low waking up so forced myself to start this day with a 7k run. It made me feel better (as always). Now Iâll eat a late breakfast and drink loads of coffee.
My daughter has started to suggest we go on evening walks, or bike rides. Even if I donât feel like walking I usually make her company. Itâs a good way to get a conversation going. She often asks question she wouldnât do otherwise. I really like that way of spending time together. When Iâm writing this we just came back to the house after a 45 minute walk on the gravel roads around here. We hoped to see a moose or some other animal but nature was calm tonight. It feels itâs going to rain soon. On evenings like this the wild are silent, awaiting, animals searching for shelter. The sky is gray but the temperature is pleasant. Letâs call it a day maybe.

My review: Compelling. Strange. Beautiful. Nothing like I’ve read before. Really enjoyed this.
Wifeâs mom here to visit. We went to the store to buy some food and collect water. I drove her car. Did some small talk. I like her.
