Tonight I’m going to see the indie rock band Alt+J from Leeds. What a fun Tuesday night. Worth calling a feast.

Vi fick en timme tillbaka i natt. Jag och Helene gick upp tidig och tog bilen till torpet. Trots uppenbart höst, de sista löven ger snart upp, var det varmt i luften. Jag sprang en sväng i korts, lunchen efteråt intogs på farstubron. Allt var vackert.
I skogen hittade vi tillräckligt mycket trattkantareller för att göra svampmackor och soppa till middag när vi kom hem till stan.
We got a 18 yo and twins five years younger. One girl and one boy. They’re like water and fire, not alike. She’s into being outside, making stuff, easily bored. He’s the other way around. He’s never bored as long he got his phone and an internet connection. But sometimes you need to get outside and do something else. When it’s Saturday I as a father like to do hang out with my kids and do something together. My wife toook our daughter out for some shopping today so I had to figure something out for me and our youngest son. I know he’s always talking about horror movies, how he’s been watching some together with friends (and sometimes alone). I know, he shouldn’t be doing that, but he’s a smart kid and he is handling it well. He’s never been having any problems sleeping. So, today I asked him if he wanted to go to the movies together with his father to see the horror pic Smile. He was a bit surprised that I asked but said he really wanted to go see it. And what a great time we had! We took the train to the city centre, had lunch at a food court and we talked about this and that. After the movie, which we both enjoyed, we talked even more. I think I’ll claim this as my father and son thing to do once in a while. I’ve never been into horror movies, but if that’s what I have to do to have some hang out time together with my son, it’s worth it. You got to adapt.

I don’t get Mastodon. I’ve tried to like it but I don’t. Twitter i still like. For people like me, who works in journalism and are interested in news about politics, is very useful. Yes, there’s a lot of hateful stuff on Twitter – but I must say my feed is actually pretty nice and fun.

When I visited New York City a couple of years ago I had a pumpkin beer. It was awful. I’m not a fan of the pumpkin taste.
Han sneddade genom Anna Lindhs park, tog Katarina Bangata upp mot Ringvägen. I höjd med hållplats Ljusterögatan doftade det starkt av parfym. Doften satt i tiotals meter. Han kunde inte placera varifrån den kom. I den runda parken vid Bleck sett en kvinna och rökte en cigarrett. Hon varvade blossen med klunkar ur en halvliter Coca-Cola. Tiden rör sig knappt. Samtidigt går den fort.

Jag vänder på mig, sträcker ut tårna, försöker fånga den dröm som nyss gled ur minnet och som lämnat en aning av något. Det var kopplat till tv-serien om Spotify tror jag. Har ett avsnitt kvar där efter att ha tittat klart på det femte precis innan jag somnade. Jag vill läsa mer om Spotify-grundarna men min tidigare prenumeration på Breakit har upphört. Får lösa det senare. Dagens agenda innehåller kroppsarbete. Jag har en häck och en gräsmatta att klippa. Det måste göras innan regnet kommer tillbaka. Det var syftet med den här resan. Även om gårdagens arbete i trädgården också varit värdefullt så skulle jag åka hem med en djup känsla av otillfredsställelse om den där häcken förblev oklippt. Jag ska resa mig ur sängen nu. Ta itu med dagen.
