Had a great afternoon with my son. We went shopping, he needed some new clothes, and that’s usually a hassle. He’s picky but at the same time not interested in trying things on. But today we had a great time hanging out. And he found things he liked – after trying them on. We strolled around in a sunny Stockholm city, talking about this and that and finished it all with some food at a newly opened food court.
All the rental bikes in Stockholm are taken away and stacked in a warehouse. This happened after the City of Stockholm decided to cut the agreement with the providing company due to security issues. The photos in this article can everyone (even if not Swedish) understand. On some bikes the frames are broken in half.

A couple of weeks ago the City of Stockholm decided to end the agreement with the company behind the rental bikes, Inurba Mobility, due to security issues. There have been several examples of the bike frames breaking. One person had to be taken to hospital after the frame broke in half during a ride.
The photo shows one of many parking lots where stockholmers could rent a bike for a small fee before they were all taken away.
There have been a lot of problems surrounding the rental system even before the accidents, connected to the business agreement.
It’s now unsure when there will be another system in place in Stockholm.

Do you know the feeling of being sad to leave a place you love? I’m experiencing that every other Sunday this time of the year when we spend most weekends at our little torp.
It’s another lovely pre-summer morning but I don’t want to go out of bed. My body is tired. And I feel like getting back to sleep, but it’s too late. I need to get up and get the day going. I have things to do, things I like to do, and the sun is shining. The coffee has to be drunken too. Get up!

• The landscape is beautiful and driving around is a great way of experiencing the countryside. If renting a car it’s a good idea not making it too small. Most roads are good, but here and there you find tougher gravel ones.
• Bring a bathing suit. There’s a lot of places where you can take a geothermal bath. We skipped The Blue Lagoon but found a much smaller and far less crowded place.
• Everything is pricey.
• There’s a lot of craft beer but I must say the ones we tried (and we tried quite many) where a bit of a disappointment. They seem to like their beer unfiltered and light in the taste, even the IPA’s.
• Driving the golden circle was nice. A three hour drive close to Reykjavík where a lot of beautiful places along the road. For example the big national park Þingvellir.
• Reykjavík is small. There’s a lot of nice bars and restaurants and if you want to stay out late this is the place. I would rather spend more time outside of Reykjavík if I’m coming back another time. I think the public bath is good but we never tried it.
• The architecture was more rough and concrete based than I thought it would be.
• Based on our four days long trip: the service is superb and the people friendly.
• There’s a lot of tourists and waterfalls.
• We didn’t see any wild animals except for birds. But there’s a lot of horses.
