Am I hating on my neighbourhood for being like this right now? Well, no. The monday morning stroll was like walking in a painting.
The lake Aspen. In swedish it’s the name of a fish and a tree, in defite form. When I googled it I found out it’s the same in english which I didn’t know. Aspen it’s a beautiful place. It’s where me and my friends hung out hot summer days during our teenage years. We jumped off the cliffs into the water and made bonfires. Now I am back there with kids of my own and their friends. It makes me feel a special kind of joy.
Making coffee. The next couple of hours will be spent down by the lake. What a great summer day it is. Sun bursting. Everything in bloom. We are very safe here. Sending thoughts to everyone not feeling safe right now. There’a a lot of bad things going on in the world right now.

The teens were supposed to join us a few hours later. They took the train after we arrived. But the train broke down halfway. Now there stuck in the middle waiting for a bus. Unfortunately the bus won’t take them all the way so I have to stay up and be ready for some drivning in a couple of hours. It’s gonna be a late night. It’s already eleven pm here.

Came into office for a couple of hours. It was my first time there for several weeks. Got a chance to meet with some collegues. Seeing them was nice, the rest not so much. I hope my company will go all Twitter and never ask us to come back.
I really need a haircut.
The corona pandemic is changing every day life. It also changes the non-everyday life. There won’t be as much travelling, parties or other social interactions as usual this summer. The situation makes outdoor activities more interesting than ever. If you are outside (while keeping social distance) you are able to hang out with a friend or your parents. When we have to stay home instead of going somewhere for weekends or vacation the outdoors will draw attention.
I think this is good. And for me being out in the wild just became easier than ever. I just got a solar panel phone charger and a grindstone for my axe from my wife as a birthday gift. What a nice present.
Just saw this, LA Times makes a guide to the californian outdoors.
Johannes is one of my best and oldest friends. We got to know each other when we were around 16–17 years old and into hardcore punk. His birthday is the 25 of May and mine is the 26th. We celebrated tonight by going out and drink a lot of beer. It was fun and made us feel younger than we are.
Today is going to be a very hectic day. I better get on with it.
I found this very interesting by @adders. I have been working as a local news reporter for a little mote than ten years but last year a changed job and now I am covering commercial real estate and construction market. The discussion about how office space will change due to the pandemic is lively over here in Sweden, but I think you have another interesting point in how home space might change as well. I wonder when I see the first apartment advertised with “has a working space” or “is home office compatible”.
I certainly don’t need one more.
I was listening to you in the latest episode of Core intuition @manton, and I found it interesting when you talked about adding a page about Micro pub and indieweb. I think that’s a great idea. I would read it, not everyone here is based in the tech/iOS programming world.
