Monday went by fast. It was a good start of this week. Tomorrow is a completely different thing though. I have loads of work to do. And it will be stressful as hell. Several deadlines, many people involved, no room for mistakes. Luckily I have colleagues around me willing to make everything go as smooth as possible. At this time tomorrow hopefully I will feel more relaxed.

Went for a walk with my wife earlier. It was dark outside but calm and not as cold as the days before. We passed this house that looks like the Deathstar.
I like this house they built at Liljeholmskajen. When standing nearby it looks like the Deathstar.
Tomorrow it’s Monday. That means an awful lot of work. I was talking to my cousin about my new job today and I said things I afterwards think are right. I realise it’s something else than I thought. It’s okay but it will take me time to adjust. And that’s okay.
My daughter and her friend at the skatepark today.
Went to one of Stockholm’s skateparks today with daughter. We took our bikes just me and her. No one else wanted to go. I don’t skate myself but I like that she does. I want to encourage her.
My cousin called me during the ride. He and his daughter came along. The girls had a great time and me and my cousin got a chance to drink coffee and hang out for a couple of hours. We talked about work, politics and the latest news about Bulletin.nu. We had a great time. It was exactly what I needed. One of the greatest dangers with this pandemin is that you stop seeing friends and family and never do anything fun together with other people.

What a great tv show that is. Just finished the last season.
One thing I don’t like with Mb is the editor, the writing experience. Luckily I have iA Writer. That’s a magnificent writing editor.
I’ve been trying out Micro.blog for a while. I don’t like the writing experience as much as I like Write.as but the community is very nice, MB people are very friendly. I wrote a short piece about my day that you can read here if you like. There is also a couple of pictures. When we got home (me, my wife and the wins) we had some sushi and I also ate a whole bag of Bridgeblandning, the best candy ever. Candy for grandmas they use to say. If that’s true I’m happy to be an old granny.

It was cold but sunny and it was the perfect thing to do today. Me, my wife and the twins drive to our beloved little house to clean it before spring comes hard. Today is what we in Sweden call “vårdagjämning”, the first day of the year when the day is as long as the night. From now on the day is becoming longer and longer all the way to midsummer. It’s not a public holiday or a day you celebrate with friends and family but it’s a day you look forward to. Winter in the Nordics are dark and long.
To get out here for a day, breath the air and spend time with my family outside the apartment makes me feel happy.
How’s your day?
Forced myself to run for 8k. I was worth it. It’s always is. But my right knee is starting to ache after a while. It never has before. Is it age? 👴
Anyone reading Karl-Ove Knausgård? 📖
The light is coming back to Stockholm!
The vaccinations in Stockholm aren’t going as fast as predicted. Today’s backlash when it comes to Astra Zeneca will slow down things even more. This is the biggest news story right now, when all Swedes aged 18 or more will get there vaccine. The plan is that all adults will get their vaccine before June 30, but that’s starting to feel way too optimistic. But all we can do is wait and see. One good thing is that spring is coming. The light in the morning, the smell of things waking up outside and that buzzing feeling in your body telling you things will be better. I love springtime. It’s actually better than summer.

I didn’t sleep well, woke up this morning very tired and very not keen on working. But after coffee, getting the kids to school and some mental training (staring through the window) I sat down before the computer and dug into the first meeting of the day. And all of a sudden it was lunchtime. I had solved a couple of problems, talked to a lot of people on the phone and via Slack and all felt okay. Tomorrow I’ll do it all again. #homeoffice #remotework
Tomorrow is workday again. I am glad I have my job but it would be nice with a couple of days off. I haven’t had the time to reboot myself between my old job and this new one.
Sunday morning headache here we go. And it’s not related to heavy drinking. Coffee and breakfast might make a difference. I’ll start with that.
I was bored the other day when reading a blog post on micro blog about Blot. Blot.im is a blog service where you publish text and images by saving them to a specific folder on Dropbox. I could use write.as and snap.as but I like trying out new things. So I registered Human Tracks, a photo blog with images showing traces of humans in different ways. #blot #blogging
Spent today here. It is such a conditioner for the soul.
Soft Fridays? No no no. as I wrote yesterday Fridays mean a lot of work for me. I have to manage three editions of newspapers at the same time; Saturday, Sunday and Monday (because I have a Monday-Friday job even though the papers daily). I don’t have time for his, bye for now.
Home office
Tomorrow’s Friday and that means hell of a lot of work, at work. I would like it better if Fridays could be a bit soft. On the other hand, Friday nights are the best. When you can have a beer and do some slow cooking while the kids hang around at home playing video games or watch tv. But now: some late night coffee. Black as the night. Plain. Made in brewer. #coffee
Horrible.
