Listening to Sally Rooney’s Normal people
There is such a thing as inspiration but it’s not reliable. Don’t wait for it to come, you have to dig in och deserve it. My take is that the inspiration shows up after some time with hard work. 🗒
Good morning. It is time to wake up the kids. And myself. I’m so tired all I want is to close my eyes again and just fall back to sleep.
Soccer practice earlier today. Not mine, my daughter’s . Enjoy our time together in the car before and after. It’s a short ride but a nice ride.
Tomorrow the curtain in the twins room will be replaced with a proper wall with a sliding door.
I bought myself a new phone yesterday, after some serious doubt. Met a very good sales person who gave me a very generous discount.
Good morning. It’s 7.30 am here in Sweden and I’ve dressed up in running clothes (but it won’t show during the upcoming Google Meet meetings). I’m getting ready for a lunch run you see. The plan is to run away from the screen as far as possible.
Fun with all your replies to my book-post. Have to say I’m a bit surprised many of you seem to be really into fantasy. Is there a correlation between tech/code and fantasy? 📚📖📕
I read Knausgård’s number 3 in the My struggle-series on paper and listen to the audiobook Sally Rooneys “Normal people”. I like to have at least two books going.

Took a new path. It was steep. Haven’t felt this good after a run in a long time. 🏃🏼♂️

Time for a run. Have to get out of the apartment. 🏃🏼♂️
Today is Independent Bookstore Day!
I still love newspapers in the morning, especially on weekends. But I must say a bit of the fun is gone since I started to work for the morning paper we’ve been subscribers of in years. May have to get a second subscription.
What are you reading right now? In Sweden every new generation of men are reading less. That’s not a good hint of the future. I’m trying to read literature even during work weeks but I have to admit the phone is such a magnet to other directions. 📖
Breakfast! Coffee!

I’m with Daniel. All vaccines are good. My parents got Astra Zeneca. I think that’s what I’m gonna get as well when it’s my turn. In Sweden we’re still on the plus 60 yo. danielpunkass.micro.blog
There’s a race in Södermalm this week. A social distanced one. You run whenever you want. Not as fun as a real race. More like just running.
I always get inspired hearing people talk about blogs. Yesterday I listened to @monday and that was interesting. After I’ve downsized my account I’m now in three different platforms; Micro.blog, Posthaven and Blot. (Write.as is on pause and Bearblog also).
The weekend is best right now, Friday night, when it’s still waiting to fully become. Let’s enjoy it a while longer.
What are you drinking microbloggers? You have to post a picture to reply. I’m having this. 🍺🍺
Now: Friday after work! That means a folköl (a beer with low alcohol that you can buy in ordinary grocery stores in Sweden if you’re over 18 yo) and some crisps. I would like a starköl (stronger beer) but I didn’t have time to go to Systembolaget (the state owned shop for beer, wine and licquour). Hope you’re doing fine.
Listened to the latest episode of @monday. I agree on what @Patrickrhone said about @jean. Her personal hellos and welcomes to new people here on mb does set a certain standard. All is very friendly here. That’s one thing to really like with mb.
